Refrigeration & Air-Conditioning Systems (Installation, Troubleshooting & Maintenance)

This course provides participants with a comprehensive understanding of refrigeration and air-conditioning (HVAC-R) systems, focusing on installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, maintenance, and safe operation.It covers refrigeration principles, system components, refrigerants, psychrometrics, pipework, controls, compressors, expansion devices, evaporators, condensers, electrical systems, leak detection, and system servicing.Strong emphasis is placed on practical skills development, fault diagnosis, and preventive maintenance to improve system reliability, energy efficiency, and environmental compliance.

Prerequisites: Basic Knowledge of mechanical systems and safety practices is recommended

Course objectives

  • Understand the working principles of major pump and control valve types
  • Understand refrigeration & air-conditioning principles
  • Identify and functionally describe HVAC-R components
