Industrial Motor Control Systems (Operation, Troubleshooting & Maintenance)
This course provides participants with the knowledge and skills required to design, install, and maintain electrical power distribution systems in industrial and commercial facilities. It covers the full process from load assessment and system design through installation standards, protection coordination, earthing, testing, and commissioning. Emphasis is placed on safety, regulatory compliance, reliability, energy efficiency, and best installation practices aligned with international and local electrical codes.

Prerequisites: Basic Knowledge of electricity and safety practices is recommended
Course objectives
- Understand the principles of industrial and commercial electrical power systems
- Perform load calculations and prepare electrical single-line diagrams
- Select appropriate cables, switchgear, distribution boards, and protective devices
- Design safe & reliable earthing/grounding and bonding systems
- Apply lightning and surge protection principles
- Interpret and apply electrical installation standards and codes
- Design and install lighting and power distribution systems
- Test, inspect, and commission electrical installations
- Implement preventive maintenance programs to ensure reliability and safety
- Troubleshoot common installation and design-related electrical problems
