The training adopts a practical, project-based approach, ensuring that learners can confidently apply their knowledge in real industrial environments.In addition, the programme emphasizes safety compliance and technical documentation skills, which are essential for effective performance in industrial settings.

Duration: 3 months (weekend), 1½ months (weekdays)

Prerequisites: Basic Industrial working experience in electrical, Instrumentation and mechanical maintenance, and a minimum of Corei 3, 8G Ram Laptop

Course objectives

Understand and apply safety standards in industrial automation environments through the HSE module.
Develop a solid understanding of industrial automation and instrumentation systems
Design, assemble, and troubleshoot electro-pneumatic systems used in industrial automation.
Implement industrial motor control techniques using relays, contactors, and protection systems.
Develop, program, and troubleshoot PLCs using ladder logic and functional block diagrams.
Perform instrumentation and calibration of industrial sensors and transmitters in a process plant.
Configure and operate Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) for motor speed control and energy efficiency.
Develop and manage Siemens SCADA and HMI systems for process monitoring and automation.
Gain clarity on tasks they previously performed without full technical insight

Course content

Module 1 Industrial Motor Control

Types of electric motors, motor starters, and contactors
Motor control components: switches, contactors, overload relays, etc.
Electrical design, protection, wiring, and troubleshooting using schematic diagrams

Module 2 Industrial Automation with Siemens S7-300 using Simatic Manager Software

Automation concepts with Siemens S7-300/400 PLC architecture using SIMATIC Manager
Configuration, hardware setup, and programming fundamentals using LAD languages
Monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintenance of PLC systems in real industrial environments

Module 3 Industrial Automation with Siemens S7-1200 PLC using TIA Portal

Automation concepts with Siemens S7-1200/1500 PLC architecture using TIA Portal

Module 4 HMI/SCADA System Design and Integration with Siemens S7-1200 using TIA Portal

Introduction to HMI/SCADA concepts and integration with Siemens S7-1200 using TIA Portal
Development of operator interfaces, screen navigation, alarms, and data visualization
Communication setup between PLC and HMI, including tag configuration and diagnostics
