Calibration & Maintenance of Process Instruments(Using HART Communicators – HART 475 & Fluke 789)
This intensive 5-day program equips participants with the practical skills and technical knowledge required to calibrate, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain industrial process instruments commonly used in oil & gas, manufacturing, utilities, and chemical plants.Participants will gain hands-on experience using HART Communicators (HART 475) and Fluke 789 Process Meter to work on:Pressure transmittersTemperature transmitters (RTDs & Thermocouples)Flow transmittersLevel transmittersControl valves and positionersSMART field instrumentsThe program emphasizes real-world plant applications, loop integrity, documentation, and maintenance best practices in line with ISA/IEC instrumentation standards.

Prerequisites: Basic technical or engineering knowledge and familiarity with industrial processes
Course objectives
- Understand principles of industrial process measurement (Pressure, Flow, Level, Temperature)
- Configure and calibrate SMART transmitters using HART 475
- Perform loop testing with Fluke 789
- Interpret & verify 4–20 mA current loop signals
- Perform zero/span and linearity checks
- Troubleshoot process signal faults and loop errors
- Perform instrument range setting & dampening adjustment
- Work safely in hazardous areas
- Follow international calibration procedures and documentation
- Understand traceability & calibration certificates
