AUT 106
Advanced Siemens Programmable Logic Controller (PLC); Programming, Troubleshooting & Maintenance for S7-300 & S7-400
This course is designed for experienced Siemens PLC users who want to advance their knowledge of S7-300 and S7-400 systems, with a special focus on analog signal processing, PID control, real-time process control, fault diagnostics, and system optimization. Participants will work extensively with live simulations and real-world case studies in industrial automation environments including manufacturing, utilities, oil & gas, packaging, and process industries. The training places strong emphasis on hands-on configuration, programming, commissioning, and troubleshooting of analog I/O modules, signal scaling, calibration, filtering, and advanced process control loop tuning.
Duration: 5 days
Prerequisites: Basic PLC programming, Basic Siemens STEP 7 and Electrical / instrumentation fundamentals
Course objectives
- Configure and integrate analog input and output modules in S7-300 & S7-400 systems
- Correctly scale and normalize analog values (0–10V, 4–20mA, RTD, thermocouples, pressure & level signals)
- Implement PID/Process control loops using STEP 7
- Apply engineering unit conversion & filtering
- Diagnose and troubleshoot analog signal faults and noise
